Several years ago I had debilitating elbow pain. After a lot of frustration and many failed attempts, I finally found some treatment that worked for me. See the link for my story. I hope it can help some of you.

Thanks for this! I don't think my aches and pains are as developed as yours were, but hopefully this will help!

No problem! The foam roller is a simple and cheap tool. It can be used for any part of your body as well. I've used it on my legs, back, you name it. Do as much research as you can on your own, but I've found that:

1. There is always an answer out there, you just need to find what works for your body.
2. It doesn't hurt to try something, especially if the cost is low.

Keep cranking,

Aaron, thanks for posting and sharing your experience. I have some really frustrating recurring elbow pain and the famous "Dodgy Elbows" exercise regimen doesn't help (but it's been diagnosed as radial nerve related, not tendonitis, so that's not surprising). I've been trying out your foam roller technique for all of two days now, and I'm hoping it helps (willing to try out anything at this point!).

Cheers,
Amy

Amy,

I hope the roller works for you. If you are experiencing any tenderness or pain while rolling, it should work.

Although I didn't mention it in my post, my wife and I also use the Armaid (link below) in addition to rolling. It is more expensive, but has shown to be able to work out tightness in very specific spots deep inside my forearm muscles. In conjunction with rolling, it has solved every issue I've had when I'm climbing most frequently. I think for most people the foam roller is enough (which is why you should try it first), but if you really get desperate you can go one step further.
