I'll be there Feb 27-March 13.

Any recommendations for good cheap single accom studios with kitchenette in Armeos, Masouri, Myrties close to climber's hangouts?

Sounds like finding people to climb with shouldn't be a problem, but if anyone will be there, lemme know! I'll be pretty much off the couch when i get there, usually good to lead 5.9-easy 5.10 and expect to be up to hard ten, easy eleven sportiness in a week or so.

ritas is the place to be on the cheap, that's right in massouri. i really like poppie's cause it's out of the way, a little nicer, and the internet is good - that's in myrties. avra's is also super cheap and maybe even more central than ritas... really though, i wouldn't bother making a reservation, there's plenty of places to stay and you'll figure it all out when you get there. you're going to have a blast, man, that place is SICK!

ok, so the word i'm getting is that you'll want to stay in masaori....thats where most of the climbing is.

the guys who owns the local climber bar rents out sakis studios. if not, go to elenas.

you'll want to rent a scooter too

hope that helps, good luck dude

hey, how was sakis?

I'm flying out in 10 days going solo. Was finding a climbing partner pretty easy? Were there people hanging out at bars or anything at night?

I stayed first at Lambrinos, which is a very nice place but it was a bit pricey and I didn't want to pony up the extra 5 eu for heater. It was cold there, big room all masonry building construction and tile/marble floors that were cold. Moved to Dimitrakis after meeting a few people who were there. Got a better price and smaller studio that heated up just from cooking. The drawback for me, was needing internet to work while away. There was no internet in the room, but accessible nearby. There are many Studios in Masouri, I'd recommend checking out several before committing to a final choice.

I found plenty of people to climb with, and when I left a few days ago, there were more and more climbers arriving. Seems really just the start of the spring climbing season there. Only a couple restaurants were open, and hanging out, socializing, hooking up happened at the adventure center (Formerly climbers nest) and on the verandas at our studios.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
