Description Suggest change

A Multi-faceted face to the right of the Trundle Wall, between the first and second pullouts. The climbing is varied, ranging from slabby flakes to vertical huecos to overhung crimping, all on mostly-bomber rock (cleaning up very nicely!). Faces straight south, and gets all day sun for most of the season.

Generally, you'll spot the crag by the grayish rock bordered by a right-facing corner, approximately even with the Ultraman wall (the obvious big slab), and a few hundred feet left.

Getting There Suggest change

From the First Pullout:
Take the trail to Calico II until there is a very clear option to descend into the little wash on the right (past the approach for the Panty Wall). Following the wash, you will shortly arrive at the Newcastle Crag (10 minutes from parking lot). Looking straight north (uphill) you will see a large broken wall with huge huecos. This is Iron Man Wall. 5 minutes of uphill scrambling brings you to the base.

User JSH says: From the First pullout, take any variety of trails down to the wash below the wall Scramble up easily to the base via the left-leaning ramp system below it. The most recent Handren book has this in the Second Pullout section, and it could easily be approached from that trailhead, again aiming to get to the gully below the wall then scrambling up to it. ((Newcastle wall is north-facing, so cannot be spotted until you're AT it, and thus is a distractor here))
