Best crampon fit for LS Nepal Evos? How about the Spantiks?

I realize this is an old topic (apols), but can anybody clarify re which G14 binding - new-matic or cramp-o-matic - fits LS Nepal Evo (size 43 or thereabouts) well, or best, or do both?

I have been using G12 new-matic on this boot for several years and the fit is good, but have heard/seen a few comments re issues with protrusion of front points on G14 (too short?) on LS NE.

I have #10 Nepals and step in bindings on the G14, the front and secondary points are too short for steep water ice, swap the front bails for narrow BD and you will bring the secondary points to the front of the boot, right where most water ice crampons would put them.

I run the Petal Lynx with mine. They fit like a glove.

I have had better luck with the lynx than the cyborgs with both of those boots but the main issue is the front bail on the BD so swapping that would likely give u a good fit.  Either cyborgs or lynx seem to work but I found a more secure fit with the petzl

Super late on this thread but was wondering this myself. I had BD Cyborgs pop off my (size 46) Evo Nepals near the top of a pitch while leading 2 winters ago resulting in a rather desperate crawl/hop to the anchor. I’d been using that pairing for a couple winters no problem, but was due for an upgrade anyway so I went w/ a new pair of fully auto G14s… the fit is good and Grivel steel is bomber but damn are they heavy! My general mountaineering crampons are Grivel so I like being able to interchange heels across setups as needed for different boots.

Was considering Petzl Lynx as another lighter option and wondering what people’s experiences are at the higher Evo Nepal size ranges.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
