Hey all! Going to be in St. George next weekend and am looking to get my brother leading for the first time. What's the best area that would serve this goal. He climbs 10a at his limit right now. I like the gap but not sure about teaching him on such a short wall. Any advice is welcome as I couldn't find a previous thread with a related topic. Thanks!

Try the Circus wall at island in the sky in Snow Canyon State Park. Fun longish routes and opportunity for some beginner multi-pitch.

Any of the easier stuff on Prophesy Wall. They have the added bonus of being excellent multi-pitch classrooms, if you do more than the first pitch.

Thanks guys. Should have thought of prophesy wall. Never been to snow canyon. We'll have to hit that up.

I would second the prophesy wall for beginners. snow canyon is good but some of the routes have questionable fixed gear and the climbing is not as intuitive.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
