A recent thread about how long to let the Red Rock sandstone dry before climbing on it got me to thinking. I love to travel to new areas as do many climbers. I hope I'm a good visitor. It is sometimes frustrating when visiting climbers don't know the local ethic/beta/current concerns, etc. Must be a real bummer in a place where the rock resource is so easily damaged just by climbing on the wrong day. Could we have a heading under each area (or even crag) with local considerations? If that became the norm, people might get into the habit of checking for those details before their visit. Whether it is concerns about wet sandstone, parking issues, don't bolt right above the trail in RMNP, changes in camping availability, or any of a myriad of other informative tips, it seems like it could be beneficial for the visitor and the local alike. Maybe even help avoid access issues. Some of this beta already exists on the site but if we had a separate heading for it I think folks would be more apt to check for it as well as more apt to post that info. What do you think?
It seems pertinent info could just be posted in the main text for the area. Do you think people skip over the area page and instead read up on particular routes?
