Old Viper Fang

So I recently acquired a set of old BD Viper tools (the silver ones). I was looking into getting the leashless "fang" attachment for the tools but I need the old model fang that's not made anymore.

It's kind of a shot in the dark but...

Does anyone know of some secret store that still has two of those old fangs laying around? Do you have any laying around that you would be willing to sell?

Secondly, has anyone tried rigging a different leashless attachment on these tools with any success? The newer fang or even something from a different company?

FWIW I don't have any interest right now in buying different tools. Maybe next season but for now these will have to do.

I'm guessing you already wrote to BD and they said they didn't have any? Seems amazing that they wouldn't have some dusty store room somewhere with a pair of these lying around...

Maybe call some of the independent shops in places likely to sell a lot of ice gear? Neptune in Boulder, IME (or maybe even EMS) in North Conway, or maybe a shop in Ouray or Salt Lake or Bishop?

If all that fails, could see if a metal fabricator could do something for you?

I know the Mountaineer in Keene Valley had some a short while ago. My buddy has the old vipers and bought a set of fangs there.

Thanks! That's awesome. I feel really dumb for not finding this before. I was told that they weren't made anymore and I was having no luck checking online stores (Backcountry, Mountaingear, etc.). It must have been too easy for my brain to see the "in stock" on BD's website. I guess the missing photo threw me.
