Access Issue: RAIN, WET ROCK and RAPTOR CLOSURES: The sandstone around Moab is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Also please ask and be aware of Raptor Closures in areas such as CAT WALL and RESERVOIR WALL in Indian Creek Details

WET ROCK: Holds rip off and climbs have been and will continue to be permanently damaged due to climbers not respecting this phenomenon. After a heavy storm the rock will remain wet, sometimes for several days. PLEASE DO NOT CLIMB IN MOAB during or after rain.

RAPTOR CLOSURES: please be aware of seasonal raptor closures. They occur annually in the spring.

Description

Most of routes get sun all day making for a great fall/ spring area. This is a rap in area with cliffs ranging from 300 to 400 feet tall. You need to be prepared for adventure style climbing and commitment! Helmet, extra rope good idea.

Getting There

Locate bridge over Mill Creek. Drive .8 mile further on La Sal loop road. Make a left heading down a steep dirt road for 100 yards to a nice open meadow and park. Do not drive down dirt road if wet with out 4 wheel drive, rather find a large pull out off the paved road and walk. The trail to the cliff leaves the meadow from the lower east side of the meadow. Follow trail down hill 10mins to cliff edge. Head right /west and locate large rock porch that juts out from the rim. This is a great land mark for the multi pitch routes.
