Sad news today of one the greatest climbers ever, Charlie Porter, has passed on. Few people could be held in the same regard as Mr. Porter. His routes still inspire generations, including myself. R.I.P.

WTF,,,! That's so sad to hear. More and more classic leaders are passing on....none live as long as Fred Beckey does it seems anymore.

I didn't realize he kayaked around the Cape Horn in a kayak until I just read about it. Badass! Some of his alpine exploits were just epic. Reading about them again makes me want to just sell everything and take off.
