Anyone been out to LRC lately? I saw there's a bunch of snow on the ground at the golf course. You guys think it'd be worth a 8.5 hour drive this weekend?

Thanks!

The Golf course said they are still blanketed with snow.
This is going to be a wet climbing wkd.

That was my unfortunate thought as well. Any thoughts on Rocktown or Rumbling Bald?

The Bald is going to be sloppy. Probably 8 inches of snow or so there and in the 50's now. Slushy and muddy and probably wet rock with all the run off from the top.

It is supposed to rain again tonight. So no, a weekend trip is not worth it any where in the south. Sunday will be the best day. The Bald is a great option because the cliff's do dry fast, but the boulders do not. Better off sticking to the gym, especially with that far of a drive.

Friends went to LRC and said everything was running with water. Rain again tonight.

There are a few areas that will be bone dry, however....

Scheduled to do either rumbling or Looking Glass Monday & Tuesday. Any insight into Sunwall or South side of Looking Glass (persistant run-off from rain/snow)? Likewise for Rumbling.

The Bald is the driest place around. You will be good there either day. South Side of LG runs a lot. It normally dries out late morning earlier afternoon. Sun Wall dries faster. The Nose being the fastest. 475B is still closed. This adds 30 more minutes to the hike from the fish hatchery. I would stick to the Bald, as LG is much more of a chance.

Yeah man. That stuff dries out in a day.
