Rock climbing in South Korea?

Hello!

I might have an opportunity to visit South Korea in August, so I was wondering if anyone had experience rock climbing there? How are the rock qualities? Would you recommend spending a week (long, short?) visiting various areas? Is it possible/convenient to reach the climbing areas by public transport and easy to find local/traveling climbers to partner?

Any information and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Get in touch with Yvon Chouinard. He climbed there years ago. . .
(say about 40 or so). . .

More and more climbing enthusiasts in Korea these days. August might be a little hot but I don't see why not if you go early in the morning or maybe afternoon.
Korea on the rocks, as mentioned above, is a nice site for foreigners. If you have gear please hit me up as well :) I don't have much equipment but I am a safe belayer and I would love to try more outdoors. I've been climbing only indoors for about a year :/

Thanks guys!

Saemmul, yes I have gear. I'll get in touch with you if the trip happens!
