Best Chalk Bag

OK, so I have a Metolius chalk bag that won't stay shut. It used to be fine, but now the plastic cinch thing is super loose. Tried taking it apart and cleaning it to no avail. It must be a design flaw.

Now I'm after a replacement that won't suck it up. All I'm after:

- Medium size
- Zippered pocket
- Closes tight and doesn't let chalk out.
- When climbing it stays open so hands get in easily
Toothbrush holder is a bonus

So far I've looked at a bunch that are either missing a zipper pocket or have mixed reviews about the closure. I know there has to be something that's awesome out there.

A good friend of mine in Bozeman has a small company called MAGO chalk bags. They are pretty big but I think they are awesome! They are made of Andean Textiles. Check out his site at magomw.com/about-us.html. I am not just trying to sell my buddies gear...I honestly think they are pretty awesome. The one I have also has a zippered pocket. It might not be on his site but give him a call and he can tell you which one.

Mammut impact works good for me.

There was a thread pretty recently about this. Had some weird title though... Check out krieg bags was the consensus

Thanks for the tip on the Krieg bag. I see they do custom pictures. Awesome! I asked him to make me an Invader Zim bag.

arc'teryx chalk bags are the shit. they have a durable and stiff topcircle on the bag that allows you to drop into your chalk with no pestering material annoying you. plus it closes really well.

The Mago bags are awesome. I had a large and was the best bag I ever had, lasted 4 years. They do come in different sizes though I'm not sure about zippers, but that's what pants pickets are for. The Scarpa one I have now is good but the closure is a little fickled. The dead bird makes some pretty good ones too.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
