so, just like the title says: i am looking for a shoe to replace my la sportiva katanas. i used these for sport, bouldering, trad, and multi-pitching and they are falling apart now. i really like them but it's time to move on, as the velcro straps aren't very conducive towards crack climbing. anyone have any recommendations? (please don't say moccasym)

rock_fencer, i considered the lace ups but was actually told that they are more downturned than the vs' and not very good for crack. and jeff, which of the tenayas would you recommend?

They are less down turned I believe than the velcros but the toe itself has a slight downturn I find that they climb thin cracks extremely well

I think the lace-up Miuras are a good (albeit slightly more aggressive) substitute.

jesus christ that's a lot of shoes. i have a pair of the women's lace up muira which i really liked for sport, but i think i may give them a dual purpose (and a resole). i am curious about the evolv addict though, tried those on and actually really liked them which was surprising. evolv stepped up their game with that shoe
