is there any place to camp on site?

George, you will have to contact Juggler directly for that. He's at Michigan ice fest next few days..There is room out in farm field for tents, but a porta-potty facility is still needed for the event. I know nothing more about that yet,,keep asking but no decision yet.

there would defiantly have to be at least a porta potty to get me to drive to Illinois, and some vegan chili at the chili cook off would be nice.

I did a vegan (not even chicken) stew last time out,,,not a chili fan here either. I'm looking at least to come up with one of those small boating porta-pottys to have inside the old barn for use. But a regular size rental one is what has been suggested to those in charge.

Edit update of Feb 5th. The 50th anniv. of the Beatles arriving in American on Ed Sullivan is celebrated this weekend...with tons of Beatles era music on our sound system. Classics, including the sound tracks from 'Help and Vegas Cirque du Sole show 'Love'. ...and our usual playlist of Scorpions and AC/DC too!!

you make sure there's a potty, make me some vegan stew, and show me how to ice climb and i'll drive out there.

Hey, we will have a place to take a crap, no camping, but you are welcome to stay at my place. Also, the chili depends on YOU. Since each person is supposed to bring their OWN batch of chili, whatever you like to share. Hope you can make it. Thanks

Ready for climbing Friday night. Forecast is for low 20's on Saturday, with light snow in afternoon. Ice is thick, at least 5 topropes are set. Moved the extra couch outside for comfy viewing. Microbrews will be available to satisfy your thirst. Warm pot luck dinner on Saturday night, before the night climbs continue under the lights. Looks sweet for sure,,,all is finally ready. HUGE snow plow pile for those who want to dig out a large snowcave for something different to do with their tooltime!

Fat ice ready for weekend events.

Relax under the stars, throw insults at the climbers from comfort of the couch.

Great weekend,,didn't have a huge crowd, but lots of fun, great food and excellent ice. In recognition of the Fab'4 coming to the US 50 years ago today,,,we had eneless background Beatles music playing most of the day and night. A festive time..thanks to all who came out, participated and brought great food and snacks for all to enjoy.

Belay couch, with snow shield cushion in place. Blizzard conditions for a couple hours!

Thick ice, deep snow, falling ice in the cold temps.

!! You're only 2 hours away on fast interstate roads all the way! We had George come all the way up from South Carolina just for his first ice experience. Keep in touch for usual weekend climbing days ahead.
