Diamond Notch Falls (Catskills)
|
Hey Cats climbers... does anyone out there have any beta about Diamond Notch Falls? I stumbled upon it in a Catskills waterfalls hiking guide... At this point in my ice climbing education... I am taking Will Gadd's advice - and am willing to hike in a few hours to find new ice, work for it to get to new places and work on my technique. |

Anyone out there want to join me? I am also trying to train hard this Spring for taking my RIC in North Conway - looking for partners... KevinFrom what I can find the falls is only 10 feet high, not sure it'd be worth the trip. Here's the best info I can find: manofaltitude.com/wordpress… There are some ravines in the Slide Mtn vicinity I'd like to explore, I'm at work and don't have the maps with me but I can give you more info in the morning. |

What's RIC? |

I suspect he's referring to the AMGA Rock Instructor Course. |
