Climbing Tattoos

Whenever I see a tattoo, I equate its value to cams. I think, "Wow! That dude could have bought 6 cams. Instead he got that lame tattoo." |

My buddy has a cam on his leg and Castleton on his arm. |

I have the North Six Shooter on my side. I haven't climbed it yet, I just thought it would be pretty. And as far spending the money on climbing lessions*, that seems like a lot of work. I'd rather just look cool... |

so...Bob Scapelli is a gay weak noob for having a climbing tattoo... please wear a go-pro while he beats you to death. its disappointing that our first line of derision is to say that you are effeminate or homosexual. |

Had surgery last August for a pleural effusion and wound up with 2 scars that are about 3" long (one on my back, below right shoulder blade, the other is under my armpit on the same side), and 2 towards the bottom of my ribcage on the right side that are about 1" long where the chest tubes were. Haven't drawn anything up yet, but I'm thinking about having some pins come out of the larger scars with 'biners attached to them, then a rope anchor from there. Or something like that. It'll be a while before I get the coin to do it though. |

I also struggled with trying to find a tatoo to symbolize my love for climbing but thought all the obvious ideas to be a bit korney. My two more subtle ideas: |

Tat I designed and got in Argentina on my first climbing trip in Patagonia. I love having this piece on my back reminding me of a youthful commitment to adventure. Returned to Frey again this year and added the coordinates for that range after a deeply meaningful trip in which I healed from some pretty significant provider burnout. Glad I designed it myself with an iconography of the mountains instead of something realistic, but that's just my experience - kind of fun spending the time to draw something out. |

If the kids at my gym are any indication you should make sure your tat looks stupid. One kid has an outline of a pirate ship. It covers his whole back. No progress past the outline in 3 years. So I'd sugesst a zombie Marilyn Monroe on your neck |
