5.10 Galileo?

Curious to know if any folks, and I am aware some 5.10 employees post up here, know what the story is with the Galileo. 5.10 has them on closeout and they seem to be scarce on every website except those freakish sizes like 5 and 13 (no offense to those people with really small or really large feet)

A second question, and this thought is influenced from a few posts I have read here an there, is if the 5.10 Stonelands is the "replacement" for the Galileo or an equivalent or simply just a different shoe in the line.

Thanks for any info. Was interested in upgrading to some Galileos and wonder if this is going to be an impossibility now

Couldn't you contact Five Ten and ask them directly?

I would check the heel cup fit on the Stonelands to make sure it doesn't create the giant air pocket that the old Anasazis used to create for some people.

For me, the Galileo's stiffness was good for microedging but made it lack sensitivity for other things.

i like the galileos but it looks like 5.10 has cut them from the lineup.
you can probably still find a few pairs cheap, but they're basically done.

i find they fit me well, a little more stiff and aggressive than the rogues. good edging, lack of sensitivity. mellow downturn, not as good at catching little bits when you're horizontal. better velcro closure than the rogues. one thing i really like is that the metal hoops the velcro goes through on the inside of the foot and the velcro straps themselves are BOMBER- unlike my miura vs's where the velcro gets abraded right through.

Thanks gang, it confirmed my beliefs about the Galileo' being done and appreciate everyone's input about them. I'm a 9 so thanks to the poster with the offer but those 7's would be far too small.

I thought the same thing. The Rogues were too soft and the Galileos were too stiff. I resoled my Rogues and they came back a little stiffer. Now I don't need the Galileos.

Not sure if that link will come through. $75 on their outlet. Not a bad price.

Thanks Mike, last time I checked that had 5's and 12's left. Looks like they updated the stock.
