Hi I am looking for climbers in NZ! I am moving there in one week. I will be in Wellington for a month or two but even then look into traveling to the South Island at least once over the summer. My boyfriend and I are moving there in the fall, possibly sooner. I have been a pretty solid climber in the past but unfortunately finishing school forced it onto the back burner for a few months and I need to get back in shape. Definitely looking for a couple people or a crew to start climbing with. Would love for other international climbers or locals to show me around! Please respond will be super excited to hear from you! I'm itching to climb a lot again.

(Enjoy trad climbing the most, and sport climbing. Have gear for both and happy to take someone new) Bouldering I struggle with mentally mostly because of an ankle injury i got while bouldering but I hear that there is a lot of that in NZ so i might have to just get over it and start again.

Hi Kirsten,
I'm living in Christchurch until June, and am always looking for partners. PM me if you are looking for partners when you come to the south island. I've been mainly bouldering at Castle Hill and sport climbing in the port hills, but love trad and want to climb some in the Remarkables or the Darrans.

Not to jump in on this threat uninvited, but I'll be in NZ as well for March and April and looking for people to climb with. Trad, sport, mountain/alpine, it's all fine. I'll have a full rock rack and my mountaineering gear with me as well. Feel free to PM me if anyone's keen on climbing.

I am in Auckland now. Have you found people/places to go climbing? I would love to join.

Hey guys! Super stoked people saw this. I still have trouble navigating Mountain Project so maybe it's just that I can't find anything. But anyway I am currently settled and working in Wellington. My boyfriend and I are going to Nelson at the last week of feb (23-28) for a week and plan to camp and climb at the hang dog area as well as see all the stuff there is to see around the sounds and talk to potters at the nelson market etc. if you're free around then you should definitely join it would be so cool to have a group. We're thinking of touring the South Island end of April or May (get down to Wanaka) to climb and get a feel for potentially living there but those plans are still kind of far away and not set in stone yet. But incase that was of interest I thought I would mention it. Respond here or message me if you're interested. Would really love to get to know some more climbers around here!

I'll definitely be available to climb for all of March and am still looking to line up partners (I've gotten in touch with Andrew here as well). Ideally looking to stay on the South Island, since I hear that's where the good stuff is anyway! I've no set plans as yet, but will be starting from Christchurch. Shoot me a message on here and perhaps we can all start setting something up!
