And How do you think Mad Rock got started?? Ever here of a company called 5.10? Mad Rock split from them too, maybe you should rethink your loyalty???

If they didn't have a case why'd Joe fork over $150K?

I think you mean that you wouldn't buy anything from Climb-X? GearX is great.

I don't suppose you notice the date on Yarp's post? December 2011?

I've been climbing on Rock Empire Flex cams for years and am still kicking. And not those new fangled fancy ones with the milled lobes. Those old ones that were all cast metal!

ClimbX is a joke. Dont buy their copied garbage. ClimbX stole classified information from Mad Rock and copied their entire product line. What a disgrace.

I too have a bundle of Rock Empire cams, various models, starting about 6 years ago. No problems with them, just one busted plastic trigger is all. They perform and you save some money on them direct from supplier.

yeah, that or the previously recalled alien cams that just break when you need them most. of course now that BD has 12 year old welders in China doing their work for them the same thing may happen

Anyone know if they're knocked off CAMP cams, or just relabeled CAMP cams? Not big on the idea of knock offs, but I trust CAMP, and at $35 a pop on the Clymb, it makes a trip to Indian creek seem a lot more feasible.

Classified G14. You have to climb at least VII 5.14 A5 V12 E7(X) before they read you in, which hints the reason why Joe had to steal the information.

Even cheaper with the 20% off today. Are these going to blow up when they touch rock or is it worth grabbing a couple at <$30/each? Saw some mentions in other threads about Climb-X lacking any sort of certification.

Just be sure to place em up near the end of that creek splitter and not near the ground, you'll be good to go.

If you do go down this route, a warning about sizing. I bought a few to play with and check out. Not too impressed.
