Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows the conditions for approach/decent at LL? I am looking at sierraattahoe.com/webcams but its probably more for skiiers to know the snow there....

This webcam is at a cabin across the highway from Lover's. Looks like prime conditions right now.

Point A is the crag and point B is the webcam.

I drove through there recently and looking back on it there didn't seem like much snow at all. So the descent would be not a problem. Might as well make the most of the lack of snow.

Did Surrilistic/Corrigation link up Saturday. Routes were dry. A little snow along the top but not bad. Where the trail goes down the slab close to the bottom was iced over and tricky, but doable. Main trail back to the car had a few slick spots also.

Did you get a look at hogsback, or the easier stuff of east wall (pop bottle)? Were they snowy?

Did not get a look at hogs back. East Wall looked dry and had sun on it for about 1.5 hrs in the afternoon. Get it while you can!

Went to LL last weekend; hogsback has a quite a bit of of snow/ice on the approach. P1 of knapsack crack is all ice, but the rest of the routes are fine. Descent is dry.

Anybody been out there recently? I'm hoping against hope that the conditions will be good this weekend, don't really wanna drop hundreds on skiing :)

"don't really wanna drop hundreds on skiing :)"

Lovers Leap is north facing..... COLD and slow to dry out. Haven't been by there in a couple of weeks,
but there are good south facing crags around Tahoe that are climable when LL is wet and cold. Pie Shop, Sugarloaf, WOODFORDS, and several good places on the North side of the lake as well.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
