Early evening.

My 5 piece anchor amungst the rubble that is the top of the spire. It was difficult to find a good anchor due to the crappy rock, but even more significant was the danger of the rope running over the loose rock on the ground and knocking chunks over the edge onto the climber below. This anchor worked out very well though, it is directly at the top of the pitch, about 20 feet back.

Our route up the grand chimney of Treasure Mountain. Pretty good rock. Descent belay ledge but not that much gear at the ledge. 5.8+ climbing. Green marks the belays, yellow marks our anchor we left to rap off, two old pitons and a tri-cam equalized with webbing and a locker.

Lookin' down on rog mid way up the second pitch. Rog is belaying from the ledge about a couple hundred off the deck. The gear is good, if the rock is good, but the rock is questionable in places.

The road (really a trail) follows the old jeep road on the right side of the valley below the white cliffs (this is marble similar to that at the Yule Quarry). Crystal Peak on the right, Treasury in the back. You cut up to the pass just beyond where the trail disappears.

This anchor worked out very well though, it is directly at the top of the pitch, about 20 feet back.

One of the few pitons we found! I'm nearly at the top here. We looked hard for previous anchors left to rap off, but all we found were a couple worse pitons than this one, and only one of them had a ring on it. So, we assumed that whoever'd been up there before us rappelled off either this single piton, or the other single piton with the ring. Crazies.
