KONG Robot??

I purchased a KONG "GiGi" from Campsaver during their holiday sale but was surprised to receive a Kong "Robot" instead. My intentions for purchasing the GiGi was to have a smoother device to belay seconds on multipitch routes. Since I have no idea what this other device is intended for, I was hoping someone could elaborate on how I could substitute the Robot that Campsaver accidentally sent instead of going through the hassle of returning and repurchasing the belay plate that I originally asked for. I can sort of see how it could be used to haul stuff but I'm confused on how to lower someone from a top belay set up. I plan on taking a self rescue course in the future. Would this be a good device to have for that as well? The extra weight doesn't bother me.

Gigi is best "guide mode" device I've used. Perfect for belaying 2 seconds at the same time, because the little rocker between the slots allows you to lock one off, and bring the other up at the same time more smoothly than other devices.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
