So I bought the Petzls Dart Forefoot on accident without buying the full crampon. So right now I only have the replacement front points. I was planning on buying crampons for snow travel also. Would I be able to buy, say, the Vasaks, and swap out the front part and use the same back section for both front sections? Sorry if this is wordy and hard to follow.

Yes, the heal and linking bar from the Vasaks will work with the dart front. However the linking bar from the Vasaks may be straight whereas for the darts a curved bar may be better.

Would it be possible to buy a curved bar and just alter them for when I want to do just ice?

Its the same link bar. The Vasak and Dart toe is a great combo.

Awesome! Thanks for your help. So just to be totally sure before I drop a bunch of money. If I buy the Vasaks I can just switch out the toe with the Dart replacements forefoot I bought already?

All current Petzl toe and heels are interchangeable. Petzl crampons are like Legos, you can put all of the parts in a box and then mix and match them to your heart's content.

So if I get the Vasaks with a lever wire that's a good call? I have the Nepal Evos.

Yes, the lever wire is probably the most versatile system with most all modern boots.

PS Order a pouch for the poons so you can easily stow them in your pack. Much easier than screwing around with lashing them to your pack.
