Anyone have any experience with the Scarpa Freedom SL boots or the K2 Pinnacle 130? cares to share? Not quite climbing gear but gear that is used to climb a mountain, so I plugged it here rather then Other Sports.
Haven't skied the Pinnacle 130, had one day in the Freedom SL so far. I've put my feet in the K2's, and they fit well and flex feels good, but they are quite heavy (over 10 lbs a pair).
One day in my Freedoms in-bounds this weekend and I was impressed with how well they skied - night and day from my old boots. Range of motion was good in walk mode, but only tested in bar mode rather than real skinning.
Both are ski oriented rather than climbing oriented - if you want something that puts equal weight in the up and the down, or better at the up, look elsewhere.

Haven't skied them yet but was surprised by the soft flex on a rug test. Take a look at TGR's on going discussion on AT boot flex as well as the the Freedom SL pages.
