I'm not very familiar with the snow patterns of RR, when does the snow melt start becoming an issue on solar slab? Thanks!

Never really thought too much about season in RR. Only to avoid the summer. I just booked a trip for next spring. Will be my first time climbing there. April 20 for a week. Hoping this will be a good time. Looking to hit up most of the long moderates. Do these dates look good for that? Any insight or recommendations would be appreciated. Also which guidebooks should I purchase?

I would say that is a great time of year there, spring flowers, usually warm enough to climb in the shade, but it can rain which can put a hold on climbing for a day. It also can be really windy.Long moderates are certainly what Red Rock is known for. The grades can vary a grade or two depending on the age of route and the first ascent teams. The Handren and Super topo are good. Also good to have Mountain Project app for in the canyon change of plans due to the hoards of moderate route suiters.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
