Plastic Boot Rentals near So. Lake Tahoe?

I recently moved to the area. Does anyone in the SLT area rent plastic climbing boots? I use a lighter boot for summer ice / alpine but want to visit Lee Vining this winter.

Thanks.

Gary Bell @ Sierra Ski and Cycle might have something, but not sure if anyone really has a "fleet" of plastic rental boots. Maybe SMC in Bishop?

I know for sure The Backcountry in Truckee rents boots for a very, very reasonable price; the main problem for me was the gas cost and time to go rent them and return them when you don't live in Truckee.

The REI in Reno definitely does not rent them...unless they have changed their rental inventory.

I would consider looking for rentals in Mammoth Lakes. It is a lot closer to Lee Vining than G-ville is to Truckee.

The used gear shop on Main St. (Gear Exchange Outlet?) in Bishop has an inventory of used double boots and other mtneering boots, usually for a reasonable price. Might check there.
There aren't any that I know of in SLT.

Thanks, all! I appreciate the input. I was in Sports LTD yesterday and they don't rent mountain boots. Funny; the sell ice tools, crampons, ice screws, but don't even sell boots!

Thanks again,
John
