Missing Fly Pole for BD Sky Lounge Double Ledge

Anyone have a good solution for a missing fly pole for my ledge fly, or had this problem before? It doesn't need to be fancy or exact.

I emailed BD and they said the original pole was 134.5" and made by Bibler.

I'm deciding between buying a cheap pole then cutting it down to size or ordering a custom pole from somewhere.

Before I call a bunch of places (REI? Fuckin' Walmart?), just want to see if someone can point me in the right direction. I would prefer to buy somewhere here in Colorado.

Thanks.

Thanks rock, I will check that out. Anyone else have any input or experience with this, possibly stores where I could buy the pole in person?

when i have used my fly: I never use the tent pole! it really isnt nessary sense the weighted straps that go to anchor keep it tight! thats how mine is anyway (not a BD).

hope you find somethin!

Good call, Mickey. I think I may just can the idea.

I don't think the pole will create enough extra room to be worth bringing.

although: I do always bring my pole just in case i am 50 feet from the top and come across impossible terane or droped crussel gear... so i can use it as a cheat stick! but never for what it is intended to do.

Funny you say that, because I actually just got a pole.

I ended up going to the rentals department at REI. They have bins of old/used/returned equipment including tent poles of various sizes.

I bought a random 137" tent pole for $18, chopped off 2.5" and it works perfectly! I would highly recommend this solution for anyone that has this problem in the future.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
