My girlfriend was having a really bad day yesterday. It was one of those screw the world, there's nothing good in the world, no one cares about anyone any more kind of days. I showed her your post and it really turned things around for her. Having grown up with not very much, she could totally relate, and was really happy that you were doing this for the kids Money is really tight for us right now, but we'd love to donate something when we can. Thanks for making a differance to these kids.

The kindness of strangers. I wish you all could have seen the faces on the kids when I first showed up at the wall with a huge box full of old used climbing shoes. You would have thought it was Christmas. We have kids show up early to get "their" pair of climbing shoes before someone else can grab them. Like your girl friend - it lifts me up every time I walk in and see what the climbing community has done for us. I'm glad this helped make her feel better. If you two (or anyone from the forum) are ever close by, please stop in and climb with us.

Chris, is there someone at the center to receive a package in the summer, or it's pretty much shut down-you said its closed a few posts above. I got some size 12 pontas that i don't like and moved on to another shoe. I can wait and ship after the summer if thats easier.

Chris, are you still accepting climbing shoes for donation? I have 2 pairs of kids shoes and would love to pass them on to a good cause.

Thanks,
Brenda

My washer is full of ropes - the dish washer is full of holds - it's that time of year again where we tear everything down - clean everything up - then put it all back together again different than before. Thanks to all the generous donations for the climbing community we now have shoes for all and the routes we put up this time around will reflect this - lots of harder stuff than back when the kids all climbed in tennies. So give yourselves a pat of the back - Pay It Forward works!!! If any of you are ever in the area - please stop in!

We are not in desperate need anymore but we will still take your old climbing shoes etc. We can always replace some of the more worn out pairs we have if we get better ones.
