I need an adventure! Trade me?

Hey all,

I have a four day weekend coming up (Nov. 9-12), which also happens to be my birthday weekend, I need an adventure.

I work for an airline so I can fly pretty much anywhere I am in the mood for; problem is I don't have a partner, car or place to stay upon arrival.

If anybody is down to go play outside anywhere in the country I will meet you, go hard for a couple of days and head home. In the aftermath of any potential debauchery, shenanigans and adventures you are welcomed and encouraged to come check out Chattanooga where the red carpet will be laid out upon your arrival.

I would be interested in multi-pitch, sport and trad. Leaving the South to boulder would just be silly. I can fly to every major city in the US and many regional airports as well. I would gladly bus to a convenient location, split gas money and provide excellent cooking and drinking skills.

So... What are you getting up to this weekend?

Bump for a fun offer!

Wish I could help. Unless you want to go on a terrible, long dayhike in Sequoia National Park on monday I can't help you.

Good luck

Happy birthday, Alex! I'd offer you a place in Ouray, but you're probably not very keen on SW Colorado. Alex is a good cook, everybody!

Hey Alex,

I know where you are coming from in terms of wanting an adventure. What could be more exciting than meeting a complete stranger and trusting your life to her to go climb some rocks!! I am totally game if you want to come up north where it is cold? It should be gorgeous 50s. I am thinking GUNKS in NY. :)

I can't make those dates, but I might be interested in a travel/climbing partner in the future. I'm starting a job where I work 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off, and there is no climbing nearby (North Dakota). I'm looking for partner(s) that would be willing to take extended trips.

Thanks D! I could be pretty stoked on CO. What is there to climb in your neck of the woods? Could you slip away to the Creek for a few days? And you know you are always welcome in my neck of the woods if some sandstone is calling your name.

Kaitlyn, I could be interested in some Gunks climbing. It was 100 degrees when I was there this summer and it rained the whole summer I lived in New Paltz. I could go for some friction, but $17 a day is not really appealing. Is Rumney an option? Your profile says you live in VT.

Steve, I like this idea. I can usually get 4-5 days off of work with ease but finding people and accommodation can be hard. Will you be able to travel far distances, like to mountainproject.com/v/encha… or mountainproject.com/v/el-sa…? Outside of this weekend I am pretty booked till January but it is never too early to start dreaming.

Going to throw this out there: Anyone headed to Shelf Road, Eldo, Unaweep, RRG, Obed, Red Rocks, Smith Rock, Indian Creek, Trout Creek or other sunny places that you may not think are all that adventurous but a first timer might enjoy?

I am unfortunately not available but I will throw out another recommendation for Moab area. You could rope swing Corona Arch for your birthday, I did it for mine and it was probably the most awesome thing I have ever done

I'm going to be in Red Rock on Saturday and we've got a group of 3. Sadly, it's just a day trip so I can't offer you any long adventures; but if you're out there anyway, we'd be stoked to have a fourth.

I like Rumney! It will be even nicer there in the low 40s! And a good place to spend 3-4 days at. I even have a place near by (20 min) so we don't have to camp.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
