New MP Lay out?????

I'd like the route finder feature to be available on all pages of the route database. For example, if I'm already on the RRG section of the site, the route finder would be right there, ideally preloaded to the RRG, instead of forcing me back to the homepage to cycle through countries, states, and areas just to find out what the best 5.9's are in a given area.

Good points by M Sprague. Great new features, but too much for the homepage.

This exists, and has for a while. Look above the route list while in an area. It's labeled as "Best routes for YOU in this area."

Ryan, you quoted me before I got to edit my post down ;) I always need at least one edit to cut the verbiage out.

That sir is the statement of the 21st century. Isn't this true of so many internet sites, or basically anything that works good that somebody seems to want to 'improve' because somebody in thte company with a @$%& marketing degree said to do it. Look at the iPhones, androids, tablets, laptops, iPads, etc...a new version is out before you have even used all the functions and apps from your last one! Just to sell more and continue the senseless process of convincing the public these days that they NEED TO CHANGE everything every few months or years.!! Anybody else have a grandmother with a refrigerator from the 1950's that still works perfectly?

OK, rant over,,I know, I"m headed out to Montana in the near future to live the simple life of Ted Kazinski one of these days.

meh. I don't dislike it, but am not excited about it either. Ask me again in a few weeks...

Fixed! Now you can edit as many times as you want. Although, don't make it say something stupid, or I'll be agreeing with everything you write ;-)

Only obnoxious thing is "The Definitive Guidebook" or whatever that is plastered on the pictures. Get it out of the pictures and I'm fine with it.

Graphically it is unimpressive. Nothing dominates and it looks cluttered.

Move the forum posts down and make the photo take over that space. Or get someone on board with some graphic knowledge. This looks like a programmer layout.

The words superimposed on the photos are a definite distraction; go ahead and get rid of them. They take away greatly from the pics. Just a thought...

agree, and don't replace with some scrolling advertisment either, anywhere on front page!

Maybe I'm to old and resist change a bit but I find the layout of MP to be a bit "clunky and quite cluttered" (too much information) and not so user friendly much like the constant change on Face Book. How do I find the recent posts for my user defined favorite areas as was previously on the home page? (I did find what I was looking for but I would prefer that on my home page).

It will take a bit of getting used to, but all the stuff is there. I like it. A fresh look from time to time is a good thing---no worries. And I actually like the map thingy; it's fun to zoom around on it. The photos in the gallery slide show look blurry to me---they're fine once you click on them. Thanks to the MP staff for always trying to improve things!!!

I don't like how the recent forum posts are cut off a little. There is not room for all the text on longer titles.

Photo portion could be bigger too - stunning photos really draw people in...

Definitely don't like the new site.

I think the new layout is cleaner and I will quickly get used to it. The Spray section nicely consolidates all of those news flashes. The destinations box is bigger and easier to use. It might be nice if the layout was more responsive to smaller screen sizes.

The pic format is wild!

I like how the forum post takes the format of real news. Because if it's on the posted proj, it's totally accurate and peer reviewed. I would've titled that as the spray.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
