What do you guys think of weed at the crag?

Pull it out...unless its a Juniper

You'll get lambasted if you cut down the Juniper, ask Joe

personally i am not a fan of people smoking around me...not because its weed but because smoke in general induces allergy symptoms for me

I also dont rope up with someone who drinks or smokes at the crag while we are climbing...afterwards do whatever.

Otherwise doesn't really bug me. I also wouldnt ask you to quit but just finish my climb and move elsewhere. Rarely a problem for me as i tend to avoid areas where this can be a problem

I think you should buy the cams, instead.

Will it lead to an access issue?

I think about it at the crag all the time.

Also I'm not saying I do smoke at the crag or at all I'm just curious what you guys think about it.

Its a proven scientific fact that weed makes you climb better. How do you think Sharma is so good. Plus id rather smell that at the crag than a cancer stick.

How about rock pipes – where have you found them? The one in the boulders near the base of Zodiac might be the best ever, in terms of ergonomics, concealed location and awesome view. I've also seen one at the start of Pump-o-rama at Rifle. I've seen others but it's been so long I can't remember exactly where – maybe one at the base of Annunaki? Many of them usher the thought, "Hell no, I would not put my lips on that," but they're fun to find.

There are a number around the Front Range in Boulder, Golden, Fort Collins. I've found a handful. Some VERY obvious. Others not. Still interesting to find.

Kind of hard to put a positive spin on these if found by land managers.

How does the way we feel about it affect you or your climbing?

I think it is the ONE thing we can accidentally leave behind at the crag that Locker will not yell at us for.

I dont especially like it, but I wont say anything most of the time. I will belay someone who smoked recently, but I wont allow someone to belay me if he or she is drinking or smoking.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
