Coconut oil is bad ass on several levels.

I am mostly paleo, not by choice. After a few too many trips overseas it is the only thing my guts can handle.

I find it interesting that Ryan has a simple Carb heavy diet and is probably the strongest poster on this thread.

Proves that everyone is different, listen to your own body.

Breakfast: Bowl of mini frosted wheats with skim milk

Snack: Almonds and an apple

Lunch: Mixed greens salad w/ salmon, black beans, feta cheese, and balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Cantaloupe

Snack: Banana or Orange and almonds

Dinner: Misc depending on each week. This week I made fried rice using, sesame seed oil, jasmine rice, 3 eggs, soy sauce, green peppers, onions, peas and carrots, and chicken breast.

I try to drink around a gallon of water each day too.

I was really jealous of his metabolism. I wish I could have a bagel with cream cheese and 2 IPAs every day and look as ripped!

Generally something small. PB&J clocks in about 350 with whole wheat bread and a lot of peanut butter. Soup or salad less. Snack: Granola with greek yogurt and almonds, protein shake Around 300 or so for the granola/yogurt, and another 150 for the protein shake. Dinner: Fish with rice and veggies or a burrito with rice/beans and veggies 400 calories for the fish, probably about the same or a little more for the burrito. 1500 calories. I exercise daily and I'm only losing a pound or so every couple of weeks. Apparently I have a slow metabolism?
The math is pretty useless without knowing how much of something is actually being eating and how it is prepared. For example, a cup of granola alone is 500-600 calories. Any oil used to sauté veggies, scramble eggs, fry or bake the fish, dress salads can easily account for 150-350 calories on top of the actual calorie content of the food itself.

For myself, my diet consists of coffee with creamer for breakfast and a fruit smoothie for brunch (frozen berry blend with Greek yogurt and almond milk).
Lunch varies pretty widely from beans and rice to eggs with veggies, salads, soups, a sandwich, or pasta. In the winter I make a lot of stews and curries with rice, homemade bread, or couscous for sides.
Dinner is usually leftovers from lunch. (I work a second shift desk job)
On the weekends when I have more time to cook I'll make roasted root veggies with a meat substitute (I'm a vegetarian), if the weather's nice I'll do something similar on the grill.

Breakfast - Coffee with organic half and half and some liquid stevia.
Oatmeal/Cereal/Yogurt - depending on what's afoot in the house. Or eggs if someone is feeling awesome and actually making breakfast

Lunch or more accurately mid afternoon meal - apple and peanut butter, string cheese, wheat thins, carrots and hummus, or some combination there of. Or if I'm lucky, last night's left overs, usually spaghetti squash or roasted veggies of some sort. Broth based soup with sausage, peas, chard, and barely.

Dinner - Steak and sauteed veggies/spaghetti squash with turkey meatballs/grilled steak tacos

I probably eat a yogurt or some olives at some point in the day as well. Lots of water, and a glass of wine or a beer at night.

I'm 5'4, 135lbs and either ride horses, run, or climb every day. My portion sizes are pretty small, except when the boyfriend makes me epic steaks.

Standard fare:

Homemade pizza(no meat), spaghetti (no meat), brown rice, oatmeal, coffee, coffee, cheese quesadillas, coffee, sometimes I drink coffee too, any and all snackish foods, chocolate, water, coffee, eggs cooked in olive oil and carrots, organic spinach and carrots, and hot peppers (reduces swelling and inflamation, neutralizes small amounts of bacteria, promotes release of endorphins)

Almost all fresh fruits, nuts, and veggies make me itch and breakout like crazy so I have to cook it all to some degree.

On the days I care I cram foods with magnesium, B's, protein (not meat), potassium, calcium, iron(i've taken to eating uncooked instant oatmeal straight from the box)

Aaaaaand I'm not a vegetarian, we just don't buy meat.

Alright, here's a day that represents a hungry/recovery/splurge day:

-Three eggs scrambled with sauteed mushrooms, kale, & sunflower seeds with a slice whole wheat toast slathered in raw honey.

-Two cups of black coffee.

-One baked sweet potato with salad (baby spinach, tomato, cucumber, avocado, onion, homemade tahini/lime/garlic dressing).

-Two carrots and a cup or so raw almonds

-Homemade tomato cashew bisque with a side of quorn "chick'n nuggets" (myco and soy protein nuggets).

-2 glasses of red wine. 1 glass of peligrino with lime.

-goat milk shake with banana, strawberries, spinach, and hemp pro powder added.

See? I spoil myself sometimes.

Been trying to shed some lazy pounds from the past year, so this is what my diet currently looks like:

Breakfast: Keffir w/ granola; 20 oz. of black coffee

AM Snack: Banana

Lunch: Avocado, cucumber, carrots, onion, spinach salad.

PM Snack: Apple

Dinner: typically chicken w/ sauteed onions, red peppers, carrots, brocoli and garlic.

I drink anywhere from 80 - 120 oz of water a day.

Eventually I plan on consuming more brown rice and adding a few more carbs into the mix, but for now, it works pretty well, and I feel pretty energized.

For the last two years I have been adhering to a 100% raw, vegan diet. Only Raw fruits, veggies, seeds and nuts.

Breakfast: raw protein smoothie (banana, dates, avocado, strawberries, orange, raw protein powder)

Lunch: HUGE salad with nuts

Dinner: See Breakfast

Snacks; fruit, fruit and more fruit. some nuts too.

Brandon Berg · · Brevard, NC · Joined Jul 2014 · Points: 15

Breakfast: 1 slice sprouted grain bread w/ some type of nut butter spread. Cashew, almond, peanut, etc. 1 banana, 32oz coffee

Lunch: Mixed salad of sesame seeds, chopped onion, carrot, greens (spinach, lettuce, cabbages, etc), bell peppers topped with an oil free dressing. Usually cashews mixed with almond milk and lemon juice, onion and garlic powder blended to desired consistency.

Dinner: Stirfry vegetable over brown rice w/ minimal or no oil. Or slow cooked vegetable stew, or soup.

Snacks: Fresh fruits, Dried fruits, nuts, berries, granola bars, salad

Beverages: Water, 4-6 beers/week (ideally, sometimes don't hit this)

This has been a typical diet for me since going vegetarian a month ago.

If I eat out its usually at a Thai or other veggie friendlier place. Most places have something on the menu anymore. If they don't I really don't want to eat there anyways.

What is Aleks' daily diet? I hear he flashes everything fueled by cheesesteaks and fish heads, with occassional dog nuggets....

Haven't yet decided to go the entirely raw route just yet. Don't know if I will, but definitely noticed things being better after turning veg only. I'm mostly eating pretty much vegan, but haven't embraced any of the other aspects of the vegan ways.

Does that make one a dietary vegan or just a vegetarian. Don't really know.

I eat a raw vegan diet, but, I wear leather. So I don't know if I'm vegan either!

this is funny.
heres my daily intake and it seems pretty regular. i get stuck on types of food for long periods of time.

breakfast
Vans brand power grain high protein waffle with Kerrygold butter, about a tablespoon with organic strawberry jam, two eggs, two pieces of bacon, one hash brown patty and one piece of seedy bread with another tablespoon of butter. One mocha pot of coffee and a pint of OJ with .5 liter of water.

Lunch
usually two PB and J, fruit and some kind of bar or maybe chips if Ive bought them. Snap peas and Carrots and about .5 liter of water.

Dinner
All over the board. Usually its a big burrito or a veggie and chicken stir fry with rice or maybe a steak, potato and salad or half a pizza. tonight though it will be one cup O' noodles and a PB and J. I also most always have a San Pelligrino ( I Don't know how it's spelled ) soda treat. Maybe a pint of whole milk and Ovaltine for dessert.

My guess is that this is a lot of calories. I workout really hard in the gym with cardio and weights, guide on rock and ski or climb on the weekends. Im 5 10 and 155 lb. I climb 5.11 in Eldo, boulder V-5 ( I really don't like bouldering ) and can skin in the alpine for forever with pack weight. 30 pull ups for three reps and run 10 miles pretty easily. Now that I write all of this I can see why I maybe eat a ton of calories and don't ever gain weight. I too am interested in people's opinion of my eating. I have done huge stretches of clean and paleo eating but get too bored way too fast so it becomes a challenge more than the reward it creates. I just like what tastes good and science project food makes me sick to my stomach ( frozen meals that aren't waffles, packaged dinners, microwavable food etc. )

Just because this is fun:

Breakfast, 2 slices of bacon, 2 fried eggs, 1/2 bagel with cream cheese, 1/2 cup grapefruit. Coffee x 2 with 2% milk and hazelnut creamer.

Lunch: 1/2 tarragon chicken salad sandwich with some type of chips, usually Santistas Tortilla chip, but when climbing pretzels (they don't get crushed).

Happy Hour: Usually Brown Rice Pepper Triscuits, sliced cheese, wine.

Favorite snack: Celery stalks spread with crunchy peanut butter.

Dinner: This is where we really mix it up. Typically a meat, a starch and a veggie, with wine. Some favorites: Chicken Marsala, Beef Stroganoff (the real kind), shish kabobs, Shrimp Udon, Pork coconut curry, Fish Picata, Salmon grilled on a Cedar Plank, Filet Mignon on the grill with grilled zucchini and sautéed mushrooms,

Boring nights it's: Tacos, Hamburgers on the grill, chicken cooked in salsa with black beans and rice; chicken cooked in broccoli cheddar soup served with broccoli and rice; Steak, potato and stinking peas (old family joke); Killer salad;

8PM is a shot of good scotch with water.

I am 59 years old, 30 pounds overweight, and have a real tough time pulling 5.8 moves.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
