Honeymoon destinations

I am looking into honeymoon destinations for late February, early March of 2014. We are both climbers, however to not be selfish, let's keep the climbing out of the equation, because in all reality I know she's not going to want to climb throughout our honeymoon (maybe after though?). We have currently looked into Napa valley, coastal areas in the northeast, coastal areas northwest, and have considered going to Italy and doing some sort of vineyard bike tour. We would love some recommendations of some incredible locations that could be done pretty cheap (we both like to ski, hike, backpack, bike, anything outdoors really). We are moving to China in April, so trying to limit our costs beforehand. And also because we will be moving over seas afterwards, staying in the states for the honeymoon is fine for us seeing as we will be getting plenty of travelling in just a few months later. Looking forward to hearing some good and creative responses. Thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Will

Mexico has fabulous climbing and world-class beach resorts that could be combined into a great honeymoon.

You could rent a casita for a week in the Potrero Chico then fly to Mazatlan or Puerto Vallarta for a week.

Thailand has awesome climbing right on the beach next to great resorts. Do a few routes in the morning and spend the rest of the day doing whatever you want.

Original Poster: I want to stay in the US and take a mostly non climbing trip.

First two responses: Go to another country for great climbing!

I'd stay away from northeast coastal areas during that time, weather is just too iffy. If you end up being interested in Italy I can hook you up with some good spots there, I'm there a couple times a year and own an Italian wine importing company, we have vineyards/friends all over the place. Good luck!

He did not say he wanted to stay in the USA, he said staying in the USA would be fine because he's going to be doing a lot of travelling in China.

I recommend skiing and hiking in Montana. The pure vastness and low habitation will be a good yin to China's yang. ;) ...unless you're traveling to West China.

Though not technically in the US (British Virgin Islands), Virgin Gorda is the ultimate honeymoon destination. Completely away from crowds, so you can really get to know spouse. Beachside boulders, with snorkeling when the day gets hot. Explore amazing caverns and boulder formations. Walk to every great beach or boulder or a few restaurant/bars. People are so friendly. We have made this the only place that we save up our money to go to (not that it is that expensive at all). Been there 3 times in 6 yrs. Stay at Guavaberry Spring Bay, which is the closest you can get to the beaches with boulders. They have a nice commissary, snorkel gear, beach chairs, and you can even reserve a crash pad to borrow for the week (or however long you stay).

NIagara Falls, for sure!!!
Seriously....
In the states. Non climbing. I gotta say, my favorite trip so far, with these qualifiers, was snorkeling in the Florida Keys. Warm weather, nice beaches, amazing tropical fish (I mean really amazing!!!)
It was a fun trip.
