Anyone heading to climb Mexico without a doubt want to get there hands on the new guide books for north and south Mexico. We just received our two books in the mail and at first view there is a whole lot of info (400+ pages in each book). We have travelled/climbed quite extensively in Mexico, quickly flipping through the new guides we are amazed at how much there is and how much more potential there is. 100 bucks for guides... I don't think so.

Just get the newest guide in Petroro Chico when you get there.

False advertising on GRAN TRONO BLANCO. There is a mention only. Wonder how many times this shows up in the guide "Topo and information of the route is not available". You can already see it in the pdf for Canyon Tajo.

Unfortunately, the info for Potrero Chico was taken directly from The Whole Enchilada which is hopelessly out of date and full of errors which have now been perpetuated.

There is more to Mexico than Potrero Chico. Often a guide to just one area in
US costs $45. This is the first edition and probably has a lot of mistakes but it's a start, it covers entire Mexico. As for Potrero Chico, it needs it's own updated guide.

Yes, Mexico is a big country and new climbing areas are being developed all over.

Yeah Ed, Mexico is the new Spain!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
