Anybody been climbing there since the slimdown? Haha. I figure since you have to sign in at the ranger station it may not be cool to climb now. Trying to get up there this weekend and don't want the day ruined by BS.

I believe Maryland Heights is part of Harpers Ferry National Historic Park. This place should be avoided until the shutdown is resolved.

I figured that would be the reply. I guess I was doing a little wishful thinking! Thanks for the answer.

Kirbys are the worst!

Is that your real name?

Yes, my name is Bill Kirby!

You're from DC right? Two people who climb named Kirby that live within a hundred miles of each either...

Well, it's my first name... But funny enough, it's a weird name. See you out there! If we ever cross paths perhaps a beer is in order.

I floated the river this past weekend as it was upper 80's and saw some people climbing the ABC ramps. Didn't see any rangers anywhere either so u should be good

Thanks Mike.. Can't imagine being on that dark rock while temps are that high! Looks like mother nature will keep us away not the government. Good to know when it dries out..
