Sitting Bull Falls, Lincoln National Forest Volunteer Day October 5th

Apparently there was a significant amount of damage to many of the man made structures as a result of recent floods in the Guads over the last few weeks. Sitting Bull is projected to be closed for a minimum of six months, so we are planning some volunteer days to help the FS out and get it opened a bit quicker.

The first volunteer day is scheduled for Saturday October 5th, we will most likely work saturday, camp in Sitting Bull, and then climb Sunday (at SBF or Last Chance, take your pick). It would be awesome to have more than the usual handful that shows up to volunteer because I anticipate on there being quite a bit of debris that will need to be cleaned up. If you are in the region I would strongly encourage you to make it out, as this will only strengthen our relationship with the Forest Service and benefit everyone who loves and enjoys the area.

BTW, the road into Last Chance is pretty wrecked as well, so if you decide to climb there Sunday make sure you have adequate clearance, dont think you will be able to limp in with your Civic anymore....

Don't be lame, set aside a day and come help out, I will bring plenty of beer and dogs are welcomed, the meaner the better, *if you are not a fan of dogs there will be none there*.

Actually we arent sure about the volunteer day since all the rangers are furloughed, so we will probably see if anyone shows up from the NFS, and if not we will just go climb at LCC instead......
