Presale is up!

Chatt Steel Presale

Chatt Steele incorporates the two most important elements of a guide book, quality & quantity, in an upmost fashion. I could flip through the pages for hours and still be entranced by the eminencity of the quality of the route descriptions. There are tons of high def shots of the climbs and the climbs are distinguished well.

Thanks for the contribution to Chattanooga. two thumbs up from me.

I have seen an advanced copy of Chatt Steel and it is a great guidebook. Beautiful photos, pretty words and most importantly it'll get you to the climbs you want to do. Highlights include:
- A bunch of "new" routes at Foster Falls that I didn't even know existed
- The first in print guide to Deep Creek with 170 routes listed
- Comprehensive info on Castle Rock, some of the best face climbing in the SE
- Great route photos unlock what's what at Buzzard Point/Laurel Falls

Chatt Steel is the definitive guide to sport climbing around Chattanooga and will be an indispensable tool for this upcoming Rocktober and beyond.

You're right. This is Will Eslinger from Cleveland TN. No one else. I will be back in Chattanooga for Christmas on December 23-January 2. If you have an issue with any of my mountain project posts I would be happy to listen to them from you face to face.

And it matters to you why? Don't like it, don't read it. Pretty simple.

When did you become the SE section's troll...

Rock on with the great thread about a good local guide book. I am digging the pics. Next time I am at RockCreek I will have to pick one up.

Micah why don't you play this game?

What is the name and grade of the middle of the 3 routes? You must know since your writing the book. The climber in the pic is just below the crux. You know, up the left facing corner/finger crack to good gear in the scoop, tricky moves out the lip to finish on slopers? Starts right of violent twisting and left of DD ends at new anchors. Enlighten us please.

Now how about some Pot Point pics! to really get people stoked

DD is the seams left of Layaway, and not (11). So yes they have been done so please don't bolt them, re-name them, and claim the FA. You posted the darn quiz pic, tell us what the middle line is? with the new anchors. Looks sweet! But sure as sheet aint DD or violent twisting.

Possibly going to Chattanooga in a day or two. Is there a gear shop where I can get a hard copy of the book? Thanks!

I bought my copy at Urban Rocks Gym but I have seen it at Rock Creek as well.
