What are some of your favorite route names?

I like any frank zappa reference like cosmik debris etc (spelling should be corrected on this site if indeed it is a zappa reference)

or references to literature like heart of darkness or paradise lost

even greek mythology like deimos or phobos (it even references space since lots of constellations and planets/moons are named after greek mythology)

Theres plenty im forgetting so please chime in with your favorite route names and why

Thanks

Music references are a cheap cop out and may not stand the test of time.

Imaginative references that capture the style of climbing are some of my favourites. " Figures on a Landscape, Exasperator,

My personal favourites are double entendres, which require at least ,a wee bit of imagination.

Double entendres get old fast.

Instead, I prefer names that have no connection with the person, the rock features, or the nearby routes. Totally original, independent, and unclear. Others can trace neither the reasoning nor the source.

Index WA has lots of examples: Whipped cream over the clothesline, Roadside floral curtain; It's a dog's life, but you can picnic with us; Killslug, Three trucks stacked on top of each other,...

Part of the draw of this sport for me is the fact that "someone was here before me." I am always interested in the story of the first ascent, so names like "search and rescue" or "lawyers, guns and money" are appealing because you want to know the story...

"I didn't know this was the end. " at Graining Fork, KY

It is one of the last routes on the far end of the wall,  but it was really named thusly because one of the two guys who did the first ascent died a week or two later.   Kind of sad when you know the story.

I personally enjoy the cheekiness of Car Crash Crag, which JeffCo Open Space admin steadfastly continues to refer to as Lookout Mountain.
