Thanks for the heads up Guy. Submitted the feedback form to the Sequoia NF. The Needles are without a doubt one of the most scenic places to climb in this country...

As I said in another post on this...I'm all for the road getting fixed to keep allowing the access that people have enjoyed in the past. However, there is no evidence to suggest that the Needles are going to close! At the worst, this could mean an additional 6 mile walk into the cliffs, from my understanding.

The Needles are not under any threat of being closed...just the road (20S53) that goes there.

It seems a little sensationalist and ridiculous that you're going around saying that the USFS or other agency is going to "close" a world class climbing destination....far from it.

WTF is up with this formatting?
