Hey, looking for a place for a good and quick breakfast in Glenwood. We tried the Village Inn a couple of weekends ago, it was anything but quick.

Preferably something closer to the north end of town, near I70.

Thanks! Wally

Probably won't work for your "close to I 70" request but if you have the time-The Village Smithy in Carbondale is fantastic! Otherwise there is a great little place across the street from the gear store (west side of the main street in town)

the 19th Street Diner serves a pretty good, quick breakfast. A few blocks south on the main street, on the left, opposite the supermarket. There's a liquor store next door, too.

Across the street from Summit Canyon Mountaineering on Main Street right before you go over the bridge there are 2 places where you can pick up a quick bagel with coffee & be on your way. I think they're called "Daily Bread" & "Sacred Grounds".

Adjoined to Summit Canyon is also the Bluebird Cafe. They typically have breakfast burritos already made and have a variety of yummy quiches that are quickly prepared plus the usual coffee house pastries for a quick breakfast run, with good coffee.

Rosi's Bavarian restaurant also has good breakfast and I think you can grab pastries and such quickly. It's just past Village Inn on old Hwy 6 & 24, north of I-70.

bluebird cafe is very good. If you can make it to one its well worth it. Also when I was up there recently the "restaurant" that is in the springs area itself was actually quite good. Kind of continental style but is quite well stocked.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
