Been hoping to climb here, was wondering what the sun/shade exposure is? Reasonable to climb this time of year or too hot/cold? It sounds like a fairly short approach. My friend/partner has a bum leg, so not sure how he will manage on anything long.
If it's a nice day you'll be fine... the approach is flat and maybe a quarter mile at most. The water level should be down enough now that you shouldn't even get your feet wet getting there.
I was up there a couple weeks back and all of the routes are in the shade in the morning. Nero Surgeon stays in the shade the longest. We were still able to get a pretty full day in, well until it started pouring rain of course.

Assuming the KOA news report is true, things will be different there. According to the report, Longmont Dam blew.
