Hallowed Climbing Spots

So I was watching "The Beckoning Silence" today ( youtube.com/watch?v=zVkJBsU… for those who haven't seen it). And I started thinking about the Hinterstoisser Traverse and how infamous it is. A climber gets there and they almost can't help thinking about the history of that spot.
Then I started thinking about other places we climbers hold as "hallowed". Places that just about every climber knows about and if you ever get there you have to reflect a bit. I started to make a short list in my head of the ones I could think of:

-Hinterstoisser Traverse (Eiger)
-Thank God Ledge (RNF Half Dome)
-Whymper Matterhorn accident spot
-Chockstone Chinmey (North Ridge of The Grand Teton)
-Hillary Step (Everest)
-Great Roof and The Stovelegs (The Nose)
-The Gendarme (Kain Route, Bugaboo Spire)

...then I kinda got stumped. There's gotta be more places. What would you add to the list?

Ok...not sure how I missed putting the Headwall of the Salathe on my list. I am a moron.

Given what occurs on Everest every year, I don't think the Hillary Step will ever be hallowed.

How about any/all Kor routes.

Gilkey Memorial at the base of K2.

And Concordia (where you turn Left for K2 and Broad Peak or Right for the Gasherbrums, with G4 in front of you and Masherbrum behind):

And I agree with the Kor routes. Just about every one of those had me asking what the ^%$#@ was he thinking: Kors Flake, Kors Ingalls, etc.

High Exposure, Shawangunks, NY. That one route, that "lane" of stone if you will is certainly hallowed ground to many climbers.

Basically the Trapps (Gunks, NY) altogether. Not EVERY route is great but MANY, MANY fine, fun, steep, exposed classics live here.

100 foot tall first ascents aren't all that committing.

You try climbing in hobnails on a breakable rope with a hip belay and the occasional piton and tell me what 'committing' feels like. Weissner was a badass.

I was humbled standing on the boat-sized ledge staring at "the move".

In the gunks I'd add the GT ledge in general, and then obviously the dangler...

+1! Honestly the dude threw his daughter a knife, told her to cut the rope if x happens, then makes a un-doable (committing) move to save their partys asses from being stranded. he made the move but how hardcore is that? his own daughter, thats not just badass that IS A BADASS!

Smith Rock in Oregon because of its sport climbing achievements (that occured there).

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
