Hey all!
I'm going to be studying in Barca for the Fall semester. I'd be super psyched to get on pretty much anything. I have a rope and sport rack that I might not have with me, but could easily have shipped out if needed.

Shoot me a message if you'll be in the area. Bouldering, sport, mellow trad, via ferrata, indoor, stoked on whatever!

if you're alone your best bet is to hit up popular areas that are easy to get to.

to get to Terradets you can take the train to Cellers from Lleida you can stay at the train station and walk to the climbing (20 mins). On weekends there will definitely be other people. As fall progresses it will become more crowded.

In Sept another good option is Rodellar, although it is kind of hard to get to without a car.

Margalef is probably your best option as it has the widest grade distribution and a nice hostel near all the climbing. There is a bus that goes there i would ask at the Nord bus station

Hi Nick - I'll be in Barcelona for a conference Nov 5-9. Planning on hanging around for a few extra days (10th-11th) to explore the local climbing. I'd like to hit up some towers at Montserrat (e.g. Punsola-Reniu on Cavall Bernat), but am open to any good adventure.

I can bring a rope and sport rack. Or trad rack if needed. Cheers!

John

@javier, muchas gracias! That's just the beta I was looking for. Really psyched to get out to some of those spots.

@John, be in touch as the date approaches. Punsola-Reniu looks fantastic.

Hey Nick,

Any interest in hitting some limestone this weekend or next? I've got to be in Seville by Monday night; my only constraint. That and I don't have a vehicle or international driver's license.

Hi Nick - just sent you a PM. Basically, I've got some free days on Mon-Tue 11/4-11/5 and Sunday 11/10. Holla at me if you (or anyone else reading this) wants to climb around Barcelona area.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
