I'm planning a trip to the Tetons and wondering if crampons and ice axe are needed right now. The trip is scheduled for mid-September so I'd imagine the conditions will be about the same or less snow. Anybody know?

Probably bone dry right now.

My guess is that by mid September it could be dry or under 4 feet of snow, or, anything in between...

very very little snow, easily avoidable if it's in your path

As of right now snow gear would be for training only, you don't need an axe or crampons. I was up there last weekend.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
