All of these are pretty good ideas, but there's no guarantee they'll bring you happiness. However, if you were to buy ME some of these items I promise to receive some level of happiness..... And I can pay for shipping! Haha

SDM: what do you need?

Lol - I'm just messing around, I don't need anything. Just trying to get a laugh every once in a while to help the work day along. A place to sleep, air to breathe and a few articles of clothing - anything else is extra. Oh yeah and good health

That's easy.. A bong!

Seriously, I went climbing last winter with a guy I met on NEice.com. Dude brought along a expresso press and a Jet Boil in his pack. He bust it at the top of one of the routes we did. It was at the exact moment I thought about eating energy chews. That made me happy. I never questioned or looked down the fact didn't have much gear ever again!

A pet turkey vulture would be good, he will up your climbing level if you take him with you. I know when I climb with a flock of them near me and buzzing me on the rock I know that if I tool it they will eat me. Also the way they stare you down will keep you humble.

Or get a raper parrot youtube.com/watch?v=L_qCnDB…
skip to about 1-2 mins.

A raper parrot? That doesn't sound very enjoyable, especially if I had the lil fellow on my shoulder.

It sounds unpleasant and it is, but on a cold night on a portaledge you will know you made the right choice.

Of all the things I have ever had, lost, or had given to me or taken away, time was the most precious.
Figure out what you would like to do with a chunk of time, and figure out how to get that or who can help you make the time you want be there.
There have been times when I've told old friends I wanted to spend it with them... I've gotten that.
There have been other times I just wanted a road trip to go enjoy life and forget what day it was, if but for a few days- and the people in my life have made those possible.
Figure out what you would do with a few days or maybe a week(+) and figure out how to make that happen. Beats the crap out of any gear you could have sittin' in the closet.

Anything I'm selling at the time on MP would be nice,,,like a load of 'new' never used small sized shoes for $25 any pair, plus shipping. Pics posted maybe 2+ years ago, shoes still untouched.

A pair of fluffy, fuzzy slippers with good tread to keep your toes toasty between climbs! Better protection against snakes/spiders than flip flops...

a trip

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
