Tetons question

Looking at the weather for the teton and its around a 20% chance of rain. Is the forecast like this for most of the summer? I have only been up the grand in late Sept. However, i have been rafting/kayaking in the area multiple times and there is often a afternoon storm. I am wondering if the current weather forecast of 20% chance of rain reflects that afternoon storm (which are so common) or if it reflects a different storm system (and that the afternoon storms do not really increase the chance of rain percentage).

Thanks

You can only hope for a 20% forecast on any given day.....but it's too late for your summit bid, that was a couple days ago. :)

Mac, usually weather is most stable in August. The possibility of the afternoon t-storm is always present though, so you need to plan to be off the mountain (or at least the summit/ridgeline) by noon.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
