I'm headed to Linville Gorge this saturday to climb. The temps don't look too terrible but I am curious what people think is the coolest area in linville to climb at?

I haven't climbed at all the places in the gorge, but Hawksbill is recommended in the summer.
Table rock, Shortoff and the Ampitheater are mostly miserable by mid day in July/August. On Table Rock, by the late afternoon climbs on the east face to north side are in the shade. There are some TR and leadable lines in the Devil's Cellar (North of North Ridge) and North Ridge sometimes has a decent breeze.
The north end of Table Rock would be a good option. Highest elevation in the gorge and stays in the shade for a good bit of the day. Plus if there is any sort of breeze thats where you'll feel it the most. There are some super classics on that end as well. I'll probably be climbing there myself next weekend.
Hawksbill can be good because it stays in the shade, however it also gets really humid after a bunch of rain (like the monsoon we've been experiencing for weeks now) and the nats are killer. It would still be a good spot to go if you want to hop on some harder trad lines.

for coolest head up to ship rock....
in linville depends. Just eyeballing your tick list from '12 i would say you have a few routes at upper hawksbill that fit your bill. Table rock is fun regardless of temps. You can also chase shade at shortoff and it tends to be rather breezy at the southern gorge.
All of that being said, its hot and humid in the SE so yeah
Thanks for all the input guys!! im thinking ill stick to shortoff. im looking at little corner and maginot line. so hopefully it wont get too hot. temps don't look terrible.
