Hi all,

I'm going to be traveling through Malaysia pretty soon and wanted to see if anyone would be in the area for some climbing. I don't know if I'll bring my rope yet, but I can be convinced if anyone will be around. I'm currently living and teaching in Taiwan. Reply if you'll be around!

see my response on the Singapore and Malaysia thread. Also, hiring a guide/partner for Batu is easy and fairly cheap. They will even have the ropes and draws for you. Just bring your harness and shoes.

I've run into these guys out on the rocks many times. They seem like they know what they're doing. The standards aren't AMGA or anything but they communicate really well and they know the cliffs better than almost everyone.
