Simon,I saw your post and wanted to reach out. I spend most of my time doing more ski mountaineering stuff but I am going to spend the summer climbing mainly dry rock. I am going up to AK this winter and want to be strong on the verticals before I go. I am training in the cotton woods now, knocking the rust off. I want to go to wind river and the tetons in late june or july, so it sounds like we might be a good fit. Ideally, I would like to climb Gannett and the Grand, but I'm flexible. I have to admit my hands are not strong enough yet, but I used to lead .11 and I lead a 5.9 on my first outing today after a 10yr hiatus from dry-rock, so I'm feeling pretty good. Let me know if you want to try and put something together for July. I hope to be in .10 lead shape by then, but I doubt by then if I'll be able to follow a .11 without a lot of hang and thrash.

Hope to hear from ya. - Greg

Hi Simon,

I'm from Jackson (but live in Boulder) and will be home visiting during that time. I'd love to get out one day!

Living in Yellowstone, have the 10-12 off and if anyone is interested in climbing those day...let me know. Would not mind a couple of day trips: Open Book, maybe symmetry spire?

John, Leslie, I am going to be climbing with Simon on the 7-12th, I'll ask him if he wants a third for any of the routes he has planned. If not, perhaps you would like to do some climbing after the 12th, as I will be staying up in WY until the 22 or so. I am leaving UT today for a trip to the Wind Rivers en route to Jackson on the 7th, but that is probably too short a notice for you guys to join. Probably climbing Fremont. Let me know if you want to climb after the 12th. I would be up for dry-rock in the Tetons or another trip back to the Wind River for alpine. Let me know. - Greg

Stan - I pretty much have my heart set on Wind River for this week, but thank you.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
