Possible Finger injury

So, recently, when I wake up, the fingers in my left hand are weird. When I move them, they move to a certain point, and then snap the rest of the way open, without my control.

this goes away after about 5 minutes, and then my hand is fine. It's not and issue at all when climbing, and my left hand is still at full strength. I never feel ANY pain at all in my left fingers, even in the morning.

Any idea on what might be afflicting them? Ways to fix it?

Trigger finger. If it were me I'd stop climbing & see a hand surgeon. That doesn't mean you necessarily need surgery though. Edit: Dupuytrens contracture is another possibility.

One way to fix it is to see a doctor. Or you could get it diagnosed on the Internet, which is not a good idea.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
